He’s a native of Jackson, Michigan and helps organize meetups and WordCamps in the region while brewing fine beer and playing guitar as often as possible.

2) Suzanne Seibel (The Responsive Grid – Behind the Scenes: An introduction to building Responsive Websites)

Suzanne Seibel is a web developer, copywriter and graphic designer at Graphic Visions, Inc. in Northville. She’s relatively new to WordPress, but has been hand-coding HTML/CSS websites since 2009.

3) Anthony Montalbano (Let’s take a responsive, HTML mockup and create a new WordPress page template.  Topics covered will include how to setup the header, footer, menus, using the customizer, template parts, and conditionally loading scripts/styles.)

Anthony is a Detroit-based entrepreneur and founder of AMBR Detroit.  He’s been a technology and startup mentor for companies through Bizdom, Grand Circus, and Windsor Essex Small Business Centre in Canada. Anthony loves conversation on topics ranging from WordPress development to SEO to entrepreneurship.  Let’s make the web a beautiful and useful place!

Rami is a web designer and developer living in Toledo, Ohio. He loves logical structure and hierarchical content, and conjures easier ways to consume information. Rami’s experience in web design and development ranges from marketing websites and e-commerce to web applications. Rami also instructs front-end website development classes for Girl Develop It Toledo.
In his spare time, Rami enjoys playing video games and drawing.

Topic: Work Session.

Show up to work on your WordPress site, get help with your site, help others, or just chat with other local WordPress users. There will not be any agenda, speaker, or topic. People of all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome.  Come to share what you know and learn what you don’t know.

Guidelines:

If you want to get help, please come prepared with everything other people will need to help you, including the information you need to log into your WordPress site as an administrator (site URL, username, password, SFTP information), information about your WordPress hosting provider (cPanel or other information), and so on.  Bring your own laptop, if you have one, so you won’t have to trust entering your password on someone else’s laptop.

• If multiple people are waiting to get help with their site or ask questions, we’ll switch to new people every 30 minutes.

• If you know the answer to someone else’s question, please consider helping them.

• If you or your company provide for-fee WordPress consulting or services, no sales pitches please, and no charging for any help at the meetup.  You can say that you offer consulting or services, and pass out business cards or flyers, but anything beyond that should happen at a different time and place than the meetups.

• Please be courteous, professional, and respectful of others.  Everyone is a community volunteer.
